Wednesday Wine Down
This is a weekly event held at Drink, the bar next door to the shop. We choose four wines that have recently excited us and pair them with four cheeses and bread from August First Bakery. It's a great way to wind down and break up the work week.

Free Wine Sampling - Wines of the Southern Hemisphere
The wines of New Zealand, Australia, South African and South America offer great quality, variety and often value. Although wine has been produced for hundreds of years in South Africa, wines from the Southern Hemisphere are generally thought to be “New World” in style. The winemaker’s hand is often more apparent in the wines while modern equipment and techniques are broadly utilized. In addition, there are more subtle differences such as the opposite growing season. The fall harvest occurs in the equivalent of our spring, meaning some wines from the 2010 vintage have already been released. This Saturday we’ll be sampling some great examples of these wines from the other side of the world.
